Here are some of the most common questions we get asked about hiring coolrooms and freezers from Cradle Coast Hire.

You can book our coolrooms and freezers by giving us a call or by sending an enquiry from our website. We’ll confirm availability, lock in your dates and make sure you’ve got everything you need before pick up or delivery.

Yes, we can deliver and collect our coolrooms and freezers anywhere across Tasmania for an additional fee. Just let us know when and where you need it, and we’ll arrange everything to suit your schedule.

We do not require a bond payment for your hire with us. However, if upon inspection at the end of the hire there is excess dirt, mud, stains or damage to our coolroom or freezer, a cleaning or repair fee will apply.

Prior to the hire we send out an invoice from XERO, this can be paid via bank transfer or cash. Unfortunately, we do not have EFTPOS facilities.

We offer flexible hire periods to suit your needs, whether it’s a single day, a weekend, a week or a longer-term rental. Just let us know your preferred dates, and we’ll tailor a hire package that works for you.

We offer special rates for 3 day, weekly and long term (4+ weeks) hires. Contact us for further details!

We’re based in Ulverstone on the North West Coast of Tasmania. We service Tasmania, including Ulverstone, Devonport, Burnie, Latrobe, Port Sorell, Wynyard, Smithton, Sheffield, Deloraine, Launceston and beyond.

Pick up is in Ulverstone or we can deliver and collect our coolrooms and freezers anywhere across Tasmania for an additional fee.

Our coolrooms operate between -2°C and 10°C and our freezer operates between 0°C to -18°C.

For your convenience, we preset the coolroom to 2°C and the freezer to -18°C – ideal temperatures to keep your goods perfectly chilled or frozen.

If you would like a different temperature setting, we can preset this for you at your request.

Yes! Every coolroom and freezer includes shelving on the back and left-hand walls for easy storage.

Our mobile coolrooms and freezers plug into a regular 10 amp, 240-volt household power point.

To make set up easy, we provide an extension lead with each unit!

If mains power isn’t available, you can use a generator, ideally with a minimum capacity of 4Kva to run the units efficiently.

If you’re hiring more than one unit, we suggest plugging each into a separate power circuit to avoid overloading and ensure optimal performance.

All of our coolrooms vary slightly in size but on average the internal dimensions are 2.5m long, 1.5m wide, 1.8m high.

Yes, each coolroom and freezer comes equipped with a hitch lock and the rear door is fully lockable to give you peace of mind that your goods are secure.

Our coolrooms and freezers are an excellent solution for your cold storage needs. Whether you’re hosting an event, celebration or managing a commercial operation, our coolrooms and freezers will keep your goods perfectly chilled and frozen.

No problem! If you need the coolroom or freezer longer than planned, just get in touch before your hire period ends. We’ll check availability and update your booking – simple as that.

All our coolrooms and freezers are serviced and maintained to the highest standard, but if something happens, contact us straight away. Our team will troubleshoot the issue or organise a replacement as quickly as possible.

We ask that the coolroom or freezer is returned in a reasonably clean condition. Excess dirt, mud, stains or damage will incur a cleaning or repair fee.

Yes, we do, we supply 4kg bags of esky ice perfect for events where drinks will be served outside of a fridge. Contact us for more information!
